Hurt (cover from the late great Johnny Cash)

This video was made to bring attention to the suicide crisis. I did this cover of Johnny Cash’s version of HURT to show that what is happening today too often is not about gun control, or pick a popular meme. It’s about our failure to reach people in our circles that are hurting.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. As a responsible citizen, and child survivor of domestic violence I am using the cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song, “sounds of silence” from 1964 to share that Domestic violence can happen to anyone regardless of race,
age, sexual orientation, religion or gender.

I’m just reminding my friends that one in four women and one in seven men, 18 years and older in the United States have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

1-800-799-SAFE (7233) is a hotline number for domestic violence.

Rev. Kenn Blanchard is the podcaster of and pastor of the Speak Life Church, Inc., that seeks to do the work of the Gospel.

A long time friend, is going through tough times and asked me to share a gofundme link. Here’s my attempt at bring attention to a need.

Hi I am Rev. Kenn Blanchard, podcaster and producer of the Speak Life Podcast. A friend of mine asked me to pass this on so I am in my own way. The Speak Life Church supports whomever we can so here’s the GoFundMe link to help a young lady going through a tough time.

Not sure why I chose this song but the Wizard of Oz makes me smile as does this hat. So…

“None of us is as strong as all of us.” (African proverb and a personal mantra)
