Proverbs 18:21 says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. This Biblical quote that a friend reminded me of sparked my desire to reboot a podcast I had failed at before. This time it was going to be different. I was different. I have over 11 years’ experience in the podcasting space and understand what might work now if I could find my audience. I was ready this time.
The most important element in podcasting isn’t motherboards, microphones, or music. The most important thing is community.
Over the years since answering the Call into the Gospel ministry, I have been challenged to that that audience. I love traditional church but the smell of stagnation has hurt me. I have always been more in tuned with the God that Moses met in the wilderness. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that didn’t and can’t dwell in a temple. He is too big. I realized that there are a lot of people outside with me. I speak to them.
There are the veterans, hurt by war, full of pain, and doubt. The Lord of Host (Sabaoth) speaks to them.
There are the Peace Officers and security members that see the evil that men do on a regular basis and need the God of peace (Shalom).
There are the gun owners, the hunters and the anglers that see the beauty of God on every hunt and upon the waters but are demonized by family. They know the God who hears (‘El Shama).
It’s hard not to be a person of faith riding a motorcycle. You witness the beauty of God and pray you don’t see Him today because of a careless driver or unseen hazard. We want the God that sees and looks out for us (El Roi)
On this podcast, I share what I believe God gives me every week, with a prayer, and a Bible ready so that everyone will eventually have heard the whole Bible as one continuing story of God and His people. We are still becoming. We are still growing. We are a nonprofit entity. We will be meeting in person someday around the country. We will be helping our communities, our families, the world. We speak life.
One of the services of the Speak Life Church is to help ministers that might not have a church or pastors that want to speak to more people that are in their congregations with a new network called ApostlesRadio. (coming soon)
