on the 16th of February, I celebrated 5 years of being the pastor of Historic Berean Baptist Church in Washington, DC. The celebration overshadowed the pain and struggle I have been going through to lead an legalistic and reticent congregation. It is slowly becoming a Christ led, bible believing church. Rev. William Young preached from the book of Nehemiah and encouraged me to go on.
The Lord spoke to me during the day and showed me that “trouble don’t last always.” The Lord is removing the reprobate, bringing in new people and blessing us. I hope one day you can worship with me there. historicbereanbaptistchurch.org
Sometimes something in us has to die before we can receive the good thing coming.
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
