King Solomon said there is a time and place for everything. I think my riding days are over. I still love motorcycling and the people that ride but retiring from the ranks of folks that own a bike and ride in 2016.
I am selling my like new 2005 Harley Davidson Electra-Glide Standard (FLT). It’s like new because I never ride it. I am selling it because I have been riding for 39 years. It has less than 7200 miles on it. It has been babied, garaged, never dropped. I had a new carburetor installed last year after it sat almost all year without me riding it. (I know I could have just cleaned out the old one) I have a new battery that is on a battery tender. I installed an aftermarket radio last year that was a birthday gift from a friend. It has a CD player and AUX output for iPod and MP3 players. It is HD Chopper Blue and looks exactly like it did when I rolled out of the show room in in 2005.
It has been owned by a preacher and only ridden when the weather was nearly perfect. Here is your chance to own a superb bike that you can customize to your liking and ride with pride. I will sell it for $10,000. Serious inquiries only. Not interested in trades or anything else other than the cash.
I knew this day was coming. I tried to prolong it with the Motorcycle Radio Podcast. It was going gangbusters but I still didn’t have the time or the opportunity I needed to focus on it. So first it was the podcast and now its going to be the bike. My loss can be your gain. It’s not a sad story, just a part of life.
I think if I had got in with Honda and got that Goldwing we wouldn’t be having this post but… that is water under the bridge. (or one of those sayings)
